Once you have lived in Vegas – you will always come back to Vegas, no matter how many times you move away. For me, it’s my 3rd and final move back to Vegas. I could not imagine life anywhere else.

What is life like in Sunny Las Vegas?

No State Income Tax
Keep more of your paycheck in your pocket. Nevada is perfect for starting a business. Just ask Google, Amazon, Zappos, Switch, and let’s not forget all the Resort Hotel Casinos. Our Sales Tax is only 8.25 %. Most of the state’s income is from tourism and hotel casinos resort fees. Have a crazy idea to build something in the Desert, come and join the rest of us, “YES” it is possible.
Affordable
Living in las Vegas is surprisingly affordable. Plenty of Money flowing in from the tourism industry- If you ever been here on vacation, you know how much fun that was. Surprisingly the cost of Electricity is well below the national average. Property taxes are also low.
Nellis Air Force Base
Home of the Thunderbirds. Nellis AFB is located Northeast part of Las Vegas. The fairly new VA Hospital is also located off of I -215 and Pecos. Nellis Air Force Base is a United States Air Force Installation in southern Nevada with more military schools and more squadrons than an any other USAF base. Nellis hosts air combat exercises such as Exercise Red Flag and close air support exercises such as Green Flag- West flown in ‘military operations Area (MOA) airspace”, associated with the nearby Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR). Las Vegas Weather
Las Vegas has sunshine at least 310 days out of the year. Extreme heat from July –September. Only 3 month out of the year, the rest is perfect weather for outdoor activities, BBQ, Fishing. Snowbirds find a 2nd home here or even retire here. Check here for an up to date forecast.

Great Place to Retire
Las Vegas is a great place to retire. Why? You might ask. Low cost of living, always something fun to do, our age qualified communities are not boring. They too have an amazing daily activity plan to for everyone’s needs. Our great weather makes it very attractive as well.
Outdoor Activities
Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, great for hiking. Valley of Fire State Park, Lake Mead National Recreation -great for water sports. Or maybe you like the mountains, well; just a 30 minute drive takes you up to Mount Charleston to see the snow covered trees in the winter, in case you miss the cold. Also great for biking, horseback riding. A great get away from the heat in the valley. A short drive takes you also to Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Boulder City, California, and Utah.

Well, where do I begin…… Over 70 + golf courses, most priced reasonable. Las Vegas is now home to the Vegas Golden nights, ( a NHL Ice hockey team) , the WNBA las vegas Aces ( woman’s basketball) The Las Vegas Aviators( minor league baseball team) The Las Vegas Raiders, ( NFL Football Team) , The las Vegas Motor Speedway, hosting the NACAR Races, Boxing, Bowling, Rodeo, UNLV Rebels all sports events.
